Mark Bale, Department of Health

Mark Bale PhD is the Deputy Head of the Health Science and Bioethics and a Deputy Chief Scientific Adviser in the UK Department of Health. He has overall responsibility for several areas of emerging healthcare science and their ethical, legal and policy implications. The current priorities include genomics, stem cells, embryology and assisted conception, human organs and tissue, screening and early diagnosis and sexual health.
