Joanna Higgins is a communications advisor at the Ministry of Justice leading on criminal justice reform. She previously worked in digital communications and as a science communication expert at the Food Standards Agency. She moved into communications after a career as a microbiologist, where she was responsible for developing policy and managing research at the Food Standards Agency.
